Aurore is from Toulouse, France, a city famous for its beautiful renaissance red brick architecture and the impressionist artist Toulouse Lautrec. In 2001 she relocated to central Florida where she has been busy raising a family of two daughters with her husband.
Ever since her youth, Aurore has been enchanted with the beaux-arts all around in her native Toulouse setting. While studying art under Berta Maillol, the grand-daughter of the famous French sculptor Aristide Maillol, she refined this taste for "everything beautiful" into a passion for the paintings of the impressionist era. As a result, her style is a mélange of impressionism, with its deep, intense colors, mixed with contemporary materials such as bright, colorful fabrics and decoupages. Her mixed media paintings explore the sensibilities and frailties of women and flowers in all of their beauty. Each painting tells a story about a great emotional event in her life or in the lives of others near her.
While practicing her profession in France, Aurore was highly recognized for her fresh, unique style. In 1997, she received the grand prize for her work in a regional art show of over 300 artists.
Aurore's desire in painting is to touch beauty and grace with the tip of her finger in order to capture the emotions that enliven her creative senses.
