Bob Garron

As early as high school, Bob fell in love with clay. His full time job kept him busy for over thirty years while he did art in his spare time. Since that time, he has been fortunate to have several remarkable teachers along the path of his artistic career. He is pleased to be able to devote all his energy now to ceramic art.

Bob works in stoneware and porcelain creating useful pottery for the home in a variety of colors and finishes. His pots and vessels are thrown on the wheel and can stand up to every day use while still achieving beautiful aesthetic value. In the spring of 2009, one of his vessels was selected for the prestigious juried show, "Teapots IV" at Baltimore Clayworks.

Bob enjoys working on the wheel in front of the public and talking about techniques and style. You'll find his studio at Gallery on First full of the bright wares of his trade as well as works in progress.
