Debra LaPallo Ryan

Debra LaPallo Ryan was born in Plattsburg, NY but lived on the west coast of Florida most of her childhood before moving to Binghamton, NY in her early teens. There, she married and raised three boys before moving back to Florida in 1999.

She always had an interest in art but not any formal training. A few years ago she was inspired by an artist's collection of koi fish paintings and that's when she developed a true interest in painting on canvas.

"It is very relaxing to paint koi fish - more therapeutic for me than painting other subjects." Since moving to Florida she has painted a variety of acrylics on canvas and these are the paintings displayed in Studio Two.

She currently lives in Longwood with her husband, Steve, and works full-time for an insurance agency in Winter Park, Florida. She also enjoys writing, reading, research, and relaxing (The four R's).
