Before moving to Florida, Kim Brown made her home in Texas for 20 years where she soaked up the Mexican culture. It has influenced her artwork in both color palette and subject matter.
In high school and throughout her college years, Kim took classes in studio art. As an adult, she has attended private art schools and taken lessons from experienced instructors to further her skills.
In the late 1980's, she began to experiment with watercolors and sold many of her paintings in galleries and from her private studio. Her preferred media today are watercolors and acrylics.
In addition to her Tex-Mex influences, Kim has traveled throughout Central America on several mission trips. An avid photographer, she often finds inspiration from the pictures she gets of people, architecture, and local cultures that she encounters.
Her interests outside of art include travel, theological studies, and her family.
