Lori Anne Harris

Having an art teacher for a mother has been very beneficial for Lori Anne Harris. From her childhood art lessons to their shared studio in Sanford, she has enjoyed a successful partnership with her mentor, especially on their large scale murals. Since 2001, Harris has been a working artist and completed many projects with her mother, Sharon Rae Hyder.

In addition to her drawing and painting pursuits, Harris enjoys designing and sewing. Having experimented with many different mediums (including pencil, charcoal, colored pencil, pastels, oils, charcoal and Play-doh) she finds that acrylics are her favorite at the moment.

"I just love painting. I want to add beauty to people's lives and make them smile. Life is too hard and short not to be surrounded by beautiful things and smiling faces. People are especially interesting to me and that is why I adore portraits. I also love animals and nature and I find joy in creating my own copies of God's creations," says Harris.

Harris has resided in Central Florida for 31 years and enjoys getting outdoors with her husband, Chris, and their two boys Mason and Jacob.
