Robert Holewinski

Looking for a way to pass the time on evenings and weekends during his three year Army stint, Robert Holewinski picked up a paintbrush and palette. He continued to paint for enjoyment once he returned to the states and took road trips to paint outdoors, often on the hood of his car. He still employs this style of painting flat instead of on an easel.

Robert's paintings cover a broad range of styles and techniques, with his preferred medium being oil on heavy watercolor paper. Using paper rather than traditional canvas allows the paint to set and dry quicker, allowing for more over painting and paint 'drag' to occur. Brush strokes become more visible which is an important element in all of Robert's paintings.

He had an early fascination with the world of Walt Disney, and dreamed of working there. In his adult life, that dream came true when his professional career allowed him to do creative product and package design for clients like Disney and Johnson & Johnson. Robert continues to do character paintings for Walt Disney World and is presently their best selling artist.
