Each week a different topic and subject will be demonstrated, then participants will work on a similar subject with the guidance of the instructor. Students may elect to take any number of sessions from one to four, although taking the full four sessions is recommended. A supply list will be sent to you when you register in advance.

Payment is due at the beginning of the session. Fees: $35 for one session; $60 for two; $85 for three; or $95 for all four. Credit cards, cash, or checks are accepted.

Lessons in watercolor can be given in the studio or outside on location upon request for $20 an hour. Preferred days and times can be arranged with Stewart.

Watercolor for Beginners
12:30 - 3:30 on Tuesdays
April 6, 13, 20, and May 4

This class will provide instruction in basic watercolor technique through demonstration and one on one instruction. We will explore color, value, design and composition in this class. No previous experience is required. Contact Cindy for a material's list.

Intermediate Watercolor
9:30 - 12:30 on Saturdays
April 3 and 10
9:30 - 4:30 (one hour lunch break)
April 17

This class will build on the skills of Watercolor l. This class will explore watercolor technique and the use of color and value. We will work from life and photos. The emphasis will be on composition and design. Previous experience is encouraged but not required. Contact Cindy for materials list.

Modern Masters for Young Artists
Ages 13 - 16
In this class, we will focus on modern artists with amazing stories and explore what drove them to create such masterpieces: Salvadore Dali, Frida Kahlo, Rene Magritte, Robert Rauschenberg, Andrew Wyeth. We will create work inspired by each artist.
