A Florida native, Linda Delaune discovered her love and aptitude for painting after a long career with the Federal government. The structure and organization of her time in prison (as a warden!) gave way to explosive freeform expression in her layered paintings.
An emerging artist, her focus is currently on textured acrylic paintings, many of which are abstracts. Other paintings are created from her memories of growing up in rural Northwest Florida and time spent at the beach in South Walton County. Part of her joy in creating art is not knowing what the completed painting will ultimately be. She just lets the paint determine the outcome. Her goal is to create fun art for fun people!
Linda moved to Sanford in 2015 with her mother, Noma, and husband, John. She is a proud mother and grandmother. Linda continues to develop and enhance her talents in new forms.
