Debe and Kevin Abbott



"Recent Work"



A collection of new paintings and sculpture by Kevin and Debe Abbott. Studio #8


Debe Abbott is an award winning artist working in several mediums including pastel, acrylic, oil and mixed media. Inspired by her aunt Joan Stier, who is an established regional artist in New York, Abbott began painting as a teen. She attended Bauder Fashion College in Miami and went on to study art at Huntingdon College in England and Monterey Peninsula College in California.


Debe's work has been in galleries and fine art shows from Maine to California and Toronto to Florida. She has appeared on public television and has been featured in numerous publications.


Kevin “KV” Abbott was was influenced at an early age by the many artists who lived in in the mountains of southern Vermont. Abbott's formal training was in commercial photography and he worked briefly as a studio photographer before enlisting in the US Army where he served as a photojournalist.


Kevin's work has won numerous awards and he is the recipient of several grants including a 2008 Individual Artist's Grant from the New York State Council on the Arts.


His work is in numerous private and public collections including the city of Syracuse, New York.






Gallery on First artist Kevin Abbott will be working behind the scenes on the film "Screaming into the Wind".


Abbott was first brought on board as a tech advisor and will also provide much of the art and other props for the film that will begin shooting here in Sanford this month. Abbott is working directly with Emma Heald, Set Designer to create an art studio and welding shop as well as providing artwork for the film.


Mr. Abbott will also assist with the welding scenes serving as an off camera coach for lead actor Mellissa McNerney's character , "Evie".


Abbott will also make a brief on camera appearance as Dr. Garrison.





Gallery On First welcomes back Digital Photographer John Sullivan to Studio #3.

John is a self-taught digital artist and fine art photographer. John also boasts a 30 year career as a Landscape Architect. John was constantly searching for imagery to explain themes and ideas to his clients. He then started taking pictures developing his eye and his techniques. His photo library continues to grow to this day and now includes nighttime digital light painting techniques. His fine art photography and digital paintings are printed on various types of archival papers as well as canvas, metal, glass and even wood. Visit John in has studio at Gallery On First.
